Black hard anodizing for aluminum die casting parts
Anodizing is widely used for aluminum products, which can be divided into color anodizing, clear or blank anodizing and black hard anodizing. However aluminum high pressure die cast products are only suitable for black hard anodizing. For purpose of improving of fluidity, the die casting aluminum alloy has high content of silicon which is hard to dye and always leads to color deviation. The mature and feasible anodizing process for aluminum casting especially the high pressure die casting is black hard anodizing.

Types of anodizing for aluminum products
- Clear or blank anodizing: available for all aluminum products except aluminum casting.
- Color anodizing: available for all aluminum products except aluminum casting parts.
- Black hard anodizing: suitable for all aluminum products, the only anodizing process available for aluminum casting
Fore treatment for anodizing of aluminum casting
A: sand blasting with fine stainless steel ball. this treatment is done by ourselves in Parsion, where we have two hanging blasting machines and one barrelling blasting machine. Sand blasting can remove and clean oxidized peel, oil and grease , and other casting defects. It is a necessary process to achiever a fine anodized surface quality.
B: degreasing by phosphating. It is done in anodizing factory. Well controlled phosphating with enough time is the critical fore-treatment for anodizing of aluminum die casting products.
Application of anodized aluminum die casting
The most anodized parison aluminum die cast parts are those outside using products like lighting products. The anodized surface can reinforce its corrosion and wear resistance. Besides, some customers would like to black anodize die cast products for decoration purpose.
For some aluminum die cast part with high surface corrosion resistance requirement, black hard anodizing can be a fine prime surface treatment for further coating such as powder coating, stoving vanish. The most of those die cast products with such treatment are photography appliances.
